A graduate of Rochester High School, Indiana University of Pennsylvania and the Duquesne University School of Law, President Judge John D. McBride began his legal career in 1972 with the firm of Panner, Holland and Autenreith. Four years later, he established his own practice and worked as a sole practitioner until he was commissioned as a judge in January of 1998.

In November of 2007, Judge McBride was retained by the electorate to serve a second 10 year term. He became President Judge in January of 2008 with the retirement of Judge Robert E. Kunselman.

For many years he represented a number of municipalities and school districts and spent 20 years adjudicating juvenile cases as a master. As a member of the Beaver County Bar Association, Judge McBride served two terms on its Board of Governors (1976-1978; 1993-1996) and was the Association’s President in1994-95.
